Thanks to Mike Bennie at The Wine Front for this review…
No foot long Barossa hot sausage in the sample box this time, alas.
This is smooth moving grenache. Supple, lighter than expected, fresh-feeling with crisp tannin and bright, cranberry tang to acidity. Lots of pretty, floral and spice-laden red berries in the perfume too. Such an easy thing to drink, more red berries and spice, a lick of liquorice, and with the sleek, silky feel of fancy pinot noir or similar.
Easy pleasure, very good wine.
