Mostly Barossa Valley ‘floor’ vineyards using old oak. When you’re off to a party, you’ll be considered a legend for bringing something that flies under the radar but over delivers. Equally, when you need a big glass of flavour, and it’s the week before pay day…

Review: 91 points (QWine)

“We sat by the pool eating prosciutto di parma pizza and drinking good wine. It was too cold to get in the pool but that was beside the point. Happiness doesn’t need pizazz and window dressing and this Tim Smith Bugalugs demonstrates that with ease. A wine for all occasions, this is such a reliable, go-to red. A blend of Barossa Shiraz parcels, caramel and chocolate immediately leap from the glass – there is some Caramello Koala appeal here to. Generous with cedary oak and handfuls of fruit, the sweet woodsy spices add moreish appeal. The fruit is dense, dark and walks with a charismatic hustle. For the money, you’d be happy this was in your glass and even happier if you had a slice of prosciutto di parma pizza in the other hand.” – Steve Leszczynski
